Power of Ten: Embracing the River set for Sep 29
On September 29 the Power of Ten is back and this year we will be exploring how cities in our region can plan and build riverfronts that not only bring economic growth, entertainment and recreational facilities, and housing options, while benefiting all residents.
Carol Coletta, President and CEO of the Memphis River Parks Partnership, and Andrew Trueblood, Director of Washington DC's Office of Planning will bring their expertise to the discussion. Memphis and DC are both great river cities that offer a range of examples and best practices for us to be inspired by and learn from.
A local panel of local leaders will respond and discuss how cities in our region can build great riverfronts. Lucy Kempf, Director of Metro Planning; Joe Pitts, Mayor of Clarksville; and David Plazas, Opinion and Engagement Director for the USA TODAY Network will comprise the panel.
