Growing up in metro Atlanta, I learned firsthand the value of regional coordination and choosing development patterns that strengthen our communities instead of smothering them with traffic and sprawl.
Brian has served since 2017 as the founding director of external affairs at the Sycamore Institute, an independent public policy research center for Tennessee. He moved to Nashville in 2015 as part of the public relations team for architecture and engineering firm Gresham Smith. Brian spent the previous 8 years in Washington, D.C. working first for the U.S. House of Representatives and then a national trade association.
Brian lives in a walkable Nashville neighborhood with his wife, children and a very large cat. He enjoys playing vintage baseball, gardening and planting trees with Root Nashville.
