Protecting and expanding your community’s open space and parks to keep up with increasing demands of surging regional population growth has become very hard to manage financially. There are urgent benefits and economic value for protecting the open space and parks that we need. Hear from a panel of experienced practitioners, planners, developers and non-profits about some important, non-traditional tools that are proving successful to sustaining and expanding open space and park land in our communities’ today.

Brent Toderian, an internationally respected practitioner and advocate for creative, vibrant city-building, shared his insight with the region and a panel of local leaders discussed what communities across our 10 counties can be doing to enhance residents' quality of life. Through the Fall follow-up forums will address transportation, parks, urban planning, and Main Street economic development.
