CRT Welcomes UT Institute for Public Service,
Municipal Technical Advisory
Service & the County Technical Assistance Service as Quality Growth Toolbox Partners!
Statewide - One
of CRT's 2008 work objectives has been to
obtain professional development credit for Local Elected Officials and
Staff for our 4-hour Quality Growth Toolbox Intro Course. This course
was approved for APA/AICP credit in January of 2008 and adding
the
credit for local government leaders was the next logical step.
Through the leadership of Chuck Shoopman and Kurt Frederick, CRT has obtained CEU Credit
through UT/IPS/MTAS and is offering
4-hour
Quality Growth Toolbox Training Courses across the State in May of 2008 as part of MTAS's
Leadership Certificate Program. UT/IPS/CTAS is also promoting
the May sessions
and will be awarding credit toward the training recertification
requirements for the COCTP
Program to county leaders participating in the course. Attendees will receive CEU credit for attendance at the May
2008 classes hosted by MTAS.
The first
training session is scheduled in the CRT Region at the Williamson
County
Agricultural Center on May
6th from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Over 45 government leaders from our
region are confirmed to attend so far. If you are interested in
attending this session,
please contact Dave Keiser at 615.986.2698 or davek@cumberlandregiontomorrow.org by May 2.
