Scenic Sumner County is situated fifteen miles northeast of Nashville and is home to Bledsoe Creek State Park and Volunteer State Community College. The cities of Sumner County are Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Millersville, Mitchellville, Portland, Westmoreland, and White House, and the population of the county is 145,009.
